Updating email servers for 'language-matters.eu' emails

Gmail

go to Settings

Then click 'See all settings'

Then click the 'Accounts and Import' tab.

Look for 'Send mail as' and look for the Language Matters line. Under this setting will be either the line saying:

cloud816.thundercloud.uk (this needs to change!)
or 
mail.language-matters.eu (this DOESN'T need to change!)

If your settings are cloud816.thundercloud.uk then you will need to change them to mail.language-matters.eu

To change the settings, click the 'edit info' link.

Click Next Step

This next screen is where you will have to change the cloud816.thundercloud.uk settings.

Change the SMTP Server settings to

mail.language-matters.eu 

You will need to enter your password to save the changes.

NO OTHER SETTINGS NEED TO CHANGE


Outlook

Important: Microsoft removed the ability to connect new accounts to Outlook.com on May 10, 2021 and will remove the ability to sync existing connected accounts on July 1, 2024.

This will not affect Outlook 365 users

Go to settings

Click 'Sync email'
Look for 'Manage your connected accounts' and select the Language Matters email address and click the 'edit' icon!

If the 'Incoming (POP/IMAP) server' is 'cloud816.thundercloud.uk' then it needs to:

mail.language-matters.eu

You will need to add your Username (your email address) and your password to save the changes.

ALL OTHER SETTINGS INCLUDING THE PORT SETTINGS STAY THE SAME!
